Trust director Rohit Shetty to do something different. He has adapted Ramayana in his own unique way. The events of the film are parallel to Ram-Leela, which is retold by DCP Bajirao Singham’s (Ajay Devgan) wife Avni (Kareena Kapoor). He is captured by the villain Danger Lanka (Arjun Kapoor) to take revenge from Singham for capturing his grandfather, dreaded terrorist Omar Hafeez (Jackie Shroff). His companions, SP Shakti Shetty, aka Lady Singham (Deepika Padukone), ACP Satya (Tiger Shroff), ACP Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao (Ranveer Singh), and DCP Veer Suryavanshi (Akshay Kumar), assist him in the rescue operation. Are. The director and his team of writers have cleverly mixed the stories of the various Police universe films, and incorporated footage from the previous films to create a cohesive whole. Essentially, the plot mirrors that of Sooryavanshi (2021), where Singham and Simmba help rescue Sooryavanshi’s wife Rhea (Katrina Kaif).

Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff are the new additions here. They enter the first part, which ends with Avni being captured. Till then no major incident happens. SP Shakthi is depicted as an officer like Singham, who believes in shooting first and asking questions later. ACP Satya is portrayed as a Kalaripayattu expert, having been brought up by Kalaripayattu gurus. Rohit Shetty has given Tiger layered martial arts scenes keeping in mind his strengths. According to the logic of Ramayana, Satya is Lakshmana, Simba is Hanuman, and Suryavanshi is Garuda. Simmba, who is the Joker in Sooryavanshi, has retained the same role here too. The film picks up pace when Ranveer’s character is introduced. His motormouth antics, filled with wacky one-liners, add some life to the proceedings. Ranveer Singh has played it well, due to which people are wishing for more of his acting in the film. Otherwise, Singham Again feels like a first-person shooter game right from the start, an endless stream of action sequences that make one feel as if they’ve been playing an RPG shooter with friends for two hours straight. Akshay Kumar gets the most complex action scenes, which are guaranteed to elicit whistles and applause. They also get a chance to showcase their own brand of comedy.

Arjun Kapoor tries very hard to play a good villain whose only aim is revenge, yet one has to wonder why he doesn’t kill Avni – wouldn’t that be the truest revenge, considering she was in Singham & Mourns the loss of his loved ones killed by the company. , He is shown as the most cunning of villains, a man who is four steps ahead of the authorities, yet foolishly allows his opponents to easily escape. Deepika Padukone somewhat imitates her husband’s brand of comedy, which she doesn’t like, but thankfully she later abandoned it for a straight action role. Kareena Kapoor Khan has been portrayed as a storyteller re-presenting the Ramayana for a modern audience. She makes a kind of documentary about places associated with the epic, and parts of the film feel like a religious pilgrimage. She is portrayed as the fearless wife of a respected officer and plays her role with ease.

Ajay Devgan started the franchise several years ago with Singham (2011), which revolved around a stoic police officer who can never be corrupt and who plays by his own rules. The franchise has become a giant, and Devgn has played the title character with the gravitas it deserves. He is the epitome of a concerned husband, an accommodating parent to his irritable Gen-Z son, and a patriot willing to lay down his life for his country. He plays the role of an inspiring leader among like-minded policemen, making the role believable. Finally, we see Salman Khan enter as Chulbul Pandey, which suggests that there could be a team-up between the two cops in the next film in the franchise. There are also rumors that standalone films may also be made for Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. What we would like to see is Simmba 2; Ranveer deserves another full-fledged film, because it seems like he was born to play this role.

Overall, watch Singham Again for its huge star presence and non-stop action. This is totally for action lovers and Rohit Shetty fans.
