On the final day of the FIP Promotion India Padel Open, India’s first international padel tournament, the spectators got a glimpse of why Spain is one of the best padel playing nations in the world. The finals of the CUPRA FIP Promotion India Paddle Open witnessed thrilling contests as Spain’s Pol Alsina – Edu Altimir Rosas and Anije Santamaria Landa – Atana Solon Domenech lifted the winners’ trophy in the men’s and women’s categories respectively in the state-of-the-art tournament at Bennett University. The three-day padel tournament was hosted at Bennett University, owned by The Times Group, while the event was organized by Padel League Pvt Ltd (a subsidiary of PTL Sports Group) with the support of The Times Group. The day started with the women’s doubles final, with the Spanish pair Anise Santamaría Landa and Aitana Solan Domenech emerging victorious, defeating Japan’s Kotomi Ozawa and Spain’s Elisabeth Nogueras Lorenz in an intense match. The Spaniards displayed impeccable teamwork and accuracy to secure the championship title with a scoreline of 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.

The men’s doubles final was an equally thrilling encounter, as Spain’s Pol Alsina and Edu Altimeres Rosas defeated French pair Arthur Hugonnec and Thomas Seuux to win the title. The Spanish pair performed brilliantly and showed their dominance and won the match with the score of 6-4, 7-5.

Over the past three days, the tournament has seen some intense action, with players from around the world competing fiercely for top honours. The final was broadcast live on Zoom TV and live-streamed on FIP’s YouTube channel, ensuring that fans around the world could watch the culmination of this historic event.
